The Case of the Missing Foot

The homeowner wanted to transform this small bathroom into a spa-like master bath with a walk-in shower. The original shower area was crowded by a one-foot wall on the right side. Unable to find a reason for the existence of said wall, I asked permission to make an exploratory peephole into the wall, which revealed -- nothing. It was empty,  allowing us to expand the shower by a foot in width. In addition to the actual enlargement of the room,  the space was visually expanded through the use of a frameless door, large scale tile on walls and floors, and a band of glass mosaic to create continuity around the perimeter of the room. A towel warmer completes their spa experience.

Reclaimed space made this a real master bath
