BY-THE-ROOM

This package is for a complete room makeover, with furniture selections, design boards, and implementation. This package is perfect if you are ready to go from start to finish on your project and have a budget in place. Let's get this done! Here are the steps:

  1. Meet and Measure (1.5 hours)
  • We’ll talk about how you’d like to use the space, what your needs are, and we’ll start to craft an ideal vision for the room
  • We’ll go over style direction
  • I’ll measure your room, including any furniture you want to keep, and create a 3-d computer version
  1. Furniture layouts - Within a week, you will receive in your inbox:
    1. Two furniture layout options to scale (this will represent the placement and size of your furniture, not the actual pieces to be used.  I’ll send this along with a video walk-through explaining everything.
  2. Video call #1 (30 minutes) - We will finalize the furniture layout and style direction using screensharing.
  3. Design Board delivery - Within a week of our call you’ll receive in your inbox your custom design board, with actual furniture pieces that will fit your space and style.
  4. Meet and review (1.5 hours) - We’ll have our second meeting at your place to review the selections and any fabric swatches, double check sizes, and select pillows and accessories. We’ll go over ordering the pieces and the timing for finishing touches.
  5. The finish line - Final meeting at your place for styling and furniture placement tweaks.

You will have the chance to schedule a couple of additional calls at any point during the process (and of course we will be in touch via email).

The FAQ's

Who does the purchasing? You, the client will be doing the purchasing.

Will I get designer discounts?  On By-The-Room packages, designer discounts are not available (available on Full Service Design projects). But, I will always suggest the best places to buy!

How does payment work? $1500 is due to reserve your package and get started (payable via paypal). The second payment of $450 is due at step 5 — our second meeting (via check or paypal).

How long does it take? The design phase takes 3-4 weeks, depending on how quickly you provide your feedback. The ‘finish line’ is contingent on lead times for furnishings, as all pieces need to be available to work with.

Is there a time limit? Because of the nature of the package, please plan to start the package during a time period when you will be available to provide timely feedback and be available for the review calls (3-4 week period).

Can I use this for a kitchen or bath project? Currently this option is not available for kitchen and bath projects.

Price - $1950

Before I worked with Jennifer I had run out of ideas for making my apartment work better for our family. I was really stuck and she was quick to grasp what we needed and how to accomplish it. Her idea for repurposing a wasted space in the apartment into a fort/hideaway for my son was inspired, and she also came up with some budget friendly ideas for creating a custom look using IKEA pieces. It was a fun process, and a huge relief to finally have a plan that I could take action on right away.

Jennifer quickly grasped the key problems with our space. She came up with some great ideas on the spot, and her ideas were very “do-able”. She also had a good understanding of our style and taste, and kept her ideas along the same lines. She made it fun and stress-free. It was more than worth it!

It is hard to find someone who really has a superb sense of color, space, great taste and who can work within small budget. Jennifer's design coaching helped me revive my small living room with an inexpensive, yet impressive transformation. She guided us with wall color, fireplace color, simple window treatments, rearranging some furniture, eliminating non-essential pieces and purchasing one additional piece. Everyone who comes into the room now is blown away by the difference.
